PROJECT CHRISTMAS: Donations will be accepted for Project Christmas beginning on Monday, December 5th and running through Friday, December 9th. Please see the posters around school for the list of things to donate. They are NOT taking canned goods this year. Please bring one item and a dollar, 2 items, or 2 dollars to Mrs. Peterson's room BEFORE 1st hour each day to get a hand stamp to wear a hat. Hats must be school appropriate. Let's fill up our red cans and help those in need!
FORENSICS: Students, please sign up in the library for your weekly time with Mrs. Smetana. Times to choose from include Monday through Thursday at 7:30 am or Tuesday and Thursday after school. First come, first choice on times! Talk to your team and sign up!
WRESTLING APPAREL: Order forms can be picked up on the bulletin board in the cafeteia or on the door of Mr. Brodsky's room.
FFA MEMBERS! Fruit delivery will be on December 15th. Collect money when it is delivered or picked uP.
VOLLEYBALL OPEN GYM: Open gym for volleyball will beheld on the following dates Sunday December 11 6-8 PM, Sunday December 18 6-8 PM. Thursday December 29 1-4 PM, and Sunday January 8 6-8 PM at the high school. 2 experience coaches are volunteering their time to work with our students so be sure to take advantage of their knowledge. You will learn a lot.
OFFICIATING: If there are any students interested in officiating for any sport, the licensing process is free and you get paid well. You must have a working knowledge of the sport. You can only officiate lower levels but it can be during your season if you are playing. If you are interested stop and see Connie.

INFORMATION YOU STILL NEED TO KNOW:
SNAPCHAT PICS: The yearbook is looking for all your fun Snapchat filter pictures. Please email all pictures to Savannah GeRue or Kambrie Haas for a chance to get them in the yearbook. You can also download the replayit app on your phone. You have permission to take pictures today during study hall only using the replayit app, so download it NOW.
WEIGHT ROOM:The weight room will be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6:30 AM with the exception of a late start.
ATHLETES: Reminder that the trainer is here on Monday and Thursday mornings if you need to be seen for an injury. Sign up sheet is in the office if you need to be seen.
INFINITE CAMPUS: If you would like to be able to get the mobile ap go into Infinite Campus Portal and log in. From there it will give you directions for setting up your mobil ap.
STUDENT PARKING LOT: When there is fresh snow please park close to the building so the parking lot can get plowed. They clear the area closest to the building first.
RECYCLING: Please recycle your empty glass or plastic bottles in the aluminum can bucket in each room.
STUDENT DRIVERS: Please use the driveway by to the baseball field to enter and exit. The buses need the driveway closest to the school. We are trying to avoid bottlenecks and also for safety sake. When it snows please try to park close to the building and not out near the baseball field so the custodians can get the parking lot cleared.
STUDENT OF THE MONTH: This year the staff at Melrose-Mindoro High School will be recognizing students each month for their positive behavior and positive contributions. At the end of each month students will be nominated and selected by the High School staff for a student of the month award. Students selected for Student of the Month honors will be notified during the first week of the following month. Know this...your attitude, behavior and efforts are appreciated.
ABSENCES: If you are planning to be gone for more than one day you must have it approved by Mr. Arzt and fill out a pink sheet available in the office.
FOR STUDENTS THAT ARE DROPPED OFF IN THE MORNING OR PICKED UP IN THE AFTERNOON: Please ask your parents to use the north or south parking lots. For safety reasons we are trying to keep cars out of the bus lane during bus drop off and pick up times. Thank for your cooperation.
STUDENT DRIVERS: Reminder: When you come upon a school bus with its red lights on/flashing, you must stop AND wait until the light go off before you proceed, whether the stop arm is in out. YOU MUST STOP AND WAIT.
WANT TO KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THE OLD STUFF: Remember to bring your old cell phones, ink cartridges, and laser jet cartridges to the school office to be recycled.
COLLECTING FOR SCHOOLS: The school is collecting the Kwik Trip milk caps on specially marked milk containers, Campbells Soup Lables and Box Top for Education. Please save and drop them off to the High School Office.
