HATS OFF TO PROJECT CHRISTMAS: During 1st hour on December 4th & 5th bring a non-perishable and $1.00 or 2 non-perishable items or $2.00 for the right to wear a hat. All food and money goes to Project Christmas. Antlers, Santa hat, head gear, stocking hat or any school appropriate hats are all acceptable. A thank you to the Student Council for sponsoring this worthwhile activity.
ROBOTICS: To all interested students - Robotics Club will hold its 1st meeting after school on Wednesday December 3 in Mr. Briggs room from 3:30 - 5:00.
CROSS COUNTRY: CC has Concessions on 12/11 and 2/3 and the team needs to sign up to help EVEN if you are graduating. Sign up is on my door.
NEEDED: Yearbook is looking for pictures of you and your trophy buck, fun selfies, you and your pets, traveling you have done. If you have any questions check your school email for more details and how to submit them. Any pictures need to be in by Friday December 5th.

INFORMATION YOU STILL NEED TO KNOW:
STUDENT PARKING LOT: When there is fresh snow please park close to the building so the parking lot can get plowed. They clear the area closest to the building first.
SWEET TOOTH: You can purchase candy bouquets through Sweet Tooth. Baskets start at $10.00 and does include delivery to the other 2 school. There is also a $5.00 bouquet offered but is cash and carry only at the high school, no delivery. 24 hour notice is requested.
RECYCLING HAS ARRIVED: Please recycle your empty glass or plastic bottles in the aluminum can bucket in each room.
STUDENT DRIVERS: Please use the driveway by to the baseball field to enter and exit. The buses need the driveway closest to the school. We are trying to avoid bottlenecks and also for safety sake. When it snows please try to park close to the building and not out near the baseball field so the custodians can get the parking lot cleared.
CAR PASSES: No more car passes until further notice.
FUND RAISER: Help the Mel-Min Music Department raise funds by bringing in empty chip and snack bags, used up writing instruments, used up tape rolls, old shoes, empty Elmer’s glue bottles and glue sticks and miscellaneous electronic waste! See the poster and bin outside the library for details.
STUDENT OF THE MONTH: This year the staff at Melrose-Mindoro High School will be recognizing students each month for their positive behavior and positive contributions. At the end of each month students will be nominated and selected by the High School staff for a student of the month award. Students selected for Student of the Month honors will be notified during the first week of the following month. Know this...your attitude, behavior and efforts are appreciated.
ABSENCES: If you are planning to be gone for more than one day you must have it approved by Mr. Arzt and fill out a pink sheet available in the office.
FOR STUDENTS THAT ARE DROPPED OFF IN THE MORNING OR PICKED UP IN THE AFTERNOON: Please ask your parents to use the north or south parking lots. For safety reasons we are trying to keep cars out of the bus lane during bus drop off and pick up times. Thank for your cooperation.
STUDENT DRIVERS: Reminder: When you come upon a school bus with its red lights on/flashing, you must stop AND wait until the light go off before you proceed, whether the stop arm is in out. YOU MUST STOP AND WAIT.
WANT TO KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THE OLD STUFF: Remember to bring your old cell phones, ink cartridges, and laser jet cartridges to the school office to be recycled.
COLLECTING FOR SCHOOLS: The school is collecting the Kwik Trip milk caps on specially marked milk containers, Campbells Soup Lables and Box Top for Education. Please save and drop them off to the High School Office.
